Install a second telephone line for the business to be professional. Make it known that you may not pick up calls between certain hours.
With a little trial and error you will soon be able to settle in.

For some people, the initial weeks can be rather daunting as the soon realise that they are working in isolation, away from colleagues, the coffee machine, the photocopy room, the deli across the street. The important thing is to remain focused and remind yourself that you have a business plan/goal which you have set out to achieve. The key is to stay motivated.

- It is essential to plan and forecast what you are going to do, how much you are going to spend and when you need to complete certain tasks. Otherwise what happens is that you make it an excuse that you are working out from home but are not productive and conscious of the time and money you are unnecessarily wasting.
